  • I like the seperate beds. People only have sex to procreate, i forgot

  • yes u are...lol

  • This show, might have had a chance if it had not went up against the very populer 12 o clock high show. It took many years befor Van Dyke got another chance on the couch show.

  • Okay....This is REALLY strange! Just a few days ago I saw an article on bad TV shows, and one was "My mother the car". I downloaded the video of the theme song because I remembered it as a kid. Now I can't get the %$#@! song out of my head! Am I being haunted?!

  • You could tow or push a car with a bug, just not very fast. And for Shok, bugs still do amazing things, they're just used less sometimes because most people seem to not trust an old car, regardless of shape. In the 70's it was advertised that Bugs could float! And if corked they can but you're more or less sinking slowly.

  • The "Porter" car never actually existed; judging by the fenders , hood shape and steering wheel, it was actually a modified Model T Ford

  • Volkswagens could do amazing things in the 60s.....just look at Herbie the Love Bug ;)

  • Actually, with a little checking and dispelling the age old rumor that it was my all time favorite TV show, "I Love Lucy", the very first TV show that showed a married couple sharing the same bed was a show called "Mary Kay and Johnny which debuted on the Dumont network on November 18, 1947. It also has the distinction of being TV's true first sitcom. It ran for 3 years and on 3 networks, Dumont, NBC and CBS.

  • Actually, Bewitched changed it. Bewitched premiered in 1963.

  • how did they tow that car out of there with that little vw? those cars had no horse power at all.
