Gene Hoglan study - SYL "Love" beat

Watched a vid of Gene the other day where he played "Love" by Strapping Young Lad and noticed he's not doing the most obvious thing on the snare drum. This is me playing his beat (i hope) a little slower, and for the first 8 bars not putting in the kicks the way they should be, so it's easier to follow what the left hand (or right hand in Gene's case) is doing.
None of the covers i've seen of this song have included these additional snare notes so hope this is helpful to anyone learning this track on drums

I had a go at playing this left handed like Lord H does but i couldn't get the ghost notes right but if you're a real stickler for detail just switch the left and right hand around and then feel pretty damn pleased with yourself for pulling it off

@sohaib785 cheers man - you commented before i had a chance to explain the point of this, in fact, that's the quicked comment i've ever had as far as i know =)

I've just joined a new band so have been working on writing drums for that lately so not been doing many covers - might bung one of the tracks from the band up at some point but better get permission from the rest of the guys first!

i bet he's fried a few computers on some songs!
