In October 2008, The Large Hadron Collider at CERN, inbetween Switerzland & France will conduct the most elobrate and powerful experments ever in human history.

LHC could discover parallel universe's the Higgs Boson (aka God Particle) and many of if not all of the universe's secrets could all be laid bare for the first time.

It's exciting time to be alive

make sure to visit CERN website and watch The Science Channel on what makes up the LHC@CERN

  • That was dumb. The "god particle." The dumb music. The LHC is not "inbetween" Switzerland and France. There is nothing "inbetween" Switzerland and France--they TOUCH. And it's the HIGGS Boson, not the Higgis boson.

  • @greg5566 I know it's the Higgs Boson.

Leon Lederman coined it the "god Particle" but even that was a misquote

The Music is from Half Life 2.

Your not too bright or up on the metaphorical references made in this video are you?

Cern's particle accleration facility spans the border between Switzerland and France. The Large Hadron Collider's 27km circle does inparticular

I love naive people, it's time to hit the bricks youngster

    lol

  • @Nfactor2006 Also, one last thing, I didn't ask who said "god particle." I said it was dumb. (That makes six by my count. In one message!)

  • the feeling I was getting originally from the comment was your were angry about historical mistake in calling it "The God Particle"

That's just a headgraber in the first place for the video and the mythos about the Higgs Boson in gerenal.

Your preception of the video's material should have caught that.

sorry my grammar offended your quick enjoyment of a my youtube video.

I'll make sure to run a more through spell check nect time just for you Greg.

  • If you read about Peter Higgs and his team at Cern, he is the instrumental part of the field theory since he challenged the Goldstone Theorem.

Sometimes getting published first is everything.

Look at String theory, you think Gabriele Veneziano gives all the credit to Leonhard Euler for finding the theoretical primitive string theory?

Not exactly, given the nature of theoretical physics

Watch his debates here on YouTube. There should be some with him and his team. Very Educational..

    Rob

  • @Nfactor2006 I love that you keep trying to lecture me on who Higgs is, trying to pretend you're teaching me something about Higgs. Meanwhile your description of the video STILL says the higgis boson! hahaha

  • I'll fix the Higgis "error" shortly, I just hope you get the reason for my video was to get people interested in the LHC and the Higgs Boson, among other things being researched there.

It piqued your interest tho, even if you're grammar whore on the internet. lol

  • Haha, Half-Life 2 music.

    Wheres Gordon Freeman?! xD

  • Haha you're so un-informed.. You'd need an LHC with a length equal to the milky way's circunference to run the smallest risk!

Cosmic rays hit the earth every moment... Please people stop bubbling junk man isn't so intelligent to build something that would really create a black hole!

  • what hl2 song is this?

  • You've been playing too much half life.

  • @Nfactor2006

it was originally named the god-damned particle, but the media latched onto 'the god particle', and that's what stuck.

  • I be going there are tuesday!

  • great music/expensive stuff= cool.

  • If it will make you happy to think your video piqued my interest, I won't interfere with that.

But it's the large hadron rap, and the one with the british narrator that piqued my interest. I thought yours dumbed it down, and went the wrong way by calling it the "god particle." Don't interest people by playing into their ignorance. Show them there's another way. The LHC is interesting because it's the biggest, most complex machine humans have ever made, and because of what it's designed to do.
