good stuff, thanks for sharing techniques

I was also told not to push the bag but punch it with a backward snap and let the wrist twist to avoiding hurting it.

@skaterockerloc to practice your arm speed when in a clinch, see how he bends and throws his arm forward, simulates trying to get a hold of opponents back or hips so you could do a take down. the elbows punches and shoulder bumps are for when a real opponent catches one arm you could retaliate with the other arm.

@skaterockerloc It's when your in the clinch and he has underhooks your pummeling to go under his arms and have the underhooks.
-
@skaterockerloc basically you try to position yourself in a favorable position over your opponent, so you can grab, punch, knee and overall control your opponent. this is a drill so he is doing fast, but in a fight it happens slower and more methodically.

pummeling is part of thai neck control and also used in greco roman neck control.
pummelinmg is fundamental to both sports..
this trainer is trying to teach you to do the drill solo and there is a place for it..
yes certianly parter training would be superior but there are times when that is impossiable ..

I'm a little confused. What is the purpose of "pummeling?"

good stuff
I have never seen "pummeling."
When I saw it I thought you were going to "pummel" the bag.
