The 1st March saw the town of Mansfield Woodhouse in North Nottinghamshire celebrate the 100 years since the opening of its Turner Hall. Named after the land agent of the Duke of Portland - who had suggested the idea of a parochial hall - it has been in use ever since.
These talented Morris Men from Retford, who specialise in dances from Nottinghamshire and Lincolnshire, certainly helped with their energetic display.

I think 'tootyflooty' comments are harsh in the extreme. This looked spirited and enjoyable - and that's from a Scot!! Keep it up...

Melodeon, great. Percussion, too much. Dancers, wooden.
Why does only the melodeon player go into the middle of the dancers? If I was their MU rep, they'd be out on strike.
