Ever wanted all magic, summons, and most commands in one piece of materia (for each type anyway)? Simply master all of the related materia (including those chocobo-only ones like "mime" and "Knights of Round") then, after storing the huge materia in Cosmo Canyon, get closer to it and perform the materia blend. You'll lose one of each of the related mastered materia (not all of it) and in return, get one piece of materia that gives everything. While doing so in the Northern Cave (on disk 3), exploiting a flaw with W-item (where you can duplicate items), I also mastered tons of alls (more than 50 of them - that's 70 million gil right there alone). The materia blend does not work with support or independent materia, however. Since, at this time, I don't have one of each of the summons mastered (some are, but at least one of each must be), I did it earlier with summons. Take note of the effects and the benefits doing so has. Every single one of the game's 54 spells is available along with 7 of the commands (enemy skill, slash-all, and double cut are not included and don't have to be mastered). Master magic-all is a great combo along with a master magic-MP absorb on the same character. Adding in a master magic-HP absorb is also a great way to keep everyone going strong. Master summon, unlike the regular summons, has a special treat. Note the infinity symbol. Yep, even the powerful "Knights of Round" can be used infinitely in a single battle.
Before I do the blend, I show you what happens upon trying to master these things (as part of that self-made challenge). Yep, now 700 million gil, still barely half of my record of something above 1.3 billion. I'm wondering if gil maxes out at 2,147,483,647 (signed int, doubtful) or 4,294,967,295 (unsigned int). If it goes to 4.3 billion, then a 64-bit value is used, of which I very strongly doubt.
Are you even aware of the games story?

I've played through this game 4 2/3 times (the 2/3 is from stopping due to mysteriously losing the "chocobo lure" materia and not being able to get it again so I had to start a new game). I like FF7's story fairly well. Still, I do a ton of powerleveling anyway, taking a 3-day break from the story to reach level 99 while on disk 1.

HEY! where do u buy all those ALL materias?

Easy: Fort Condor. You'll have to reach a certain point in the story though in order to do that.

There's a sort command, though I don't exactly recall as I haven't touched FF7 since I made these videos. Disgaea has taken over and then some.
