@Pikachu4352 Now that I look at it, you're right; looks like they used the Southern Colonel Muppet but changed the facial features and clothes. He does seem pretty much like an Anything Muppet prototype anyway (like the Orange Gold puppet pattern was)

Being a Perry Como fan, my father used to sing this on car trips to us when I was 5 years-old but I could never remember all the lyrics. Leave it to Sesame Street to make a Como song cute for kids. The CM was my favorite character basically b/c he ate cookies all the time, but this would be amusing to a small kid. Sesame Street ruled!

Used to sing this to my girls when they were tiny, included the Cookie Monster bits as well, they were the best part :-)
Love CM's ab-ab-ab eating of his blocks, he does like a square meal.
