Nina Virdee Womad 2006 - Amazing Indian Singer

Here's a new clip of Nina performing on the BBC stage at the 2006 Womad festival.

The photos are from the performance itself, however the soundtrack is a rough mix of a new track - in the performance we have live Tabla, Sitar and DJ's.

One point to mention is that Nina's voice has not been modified in any way - this is a straight clean recording!)

It was a great atmosphere and we hope to be at Womad 2007..

An excellent track!And wonderfully rendered by Nina. Very uplifting music.Wish Nina had improvised some in alaap style & short harkat based taans sweeping & scaling from "mandra" to "ati taar saptak" within the groove matrix.

Rajvirdee, could you pls. mention the name of the keyboards & rhythm programming player & the array of synths that he has used. Thanks.

On the day of the Womad performance - Nina sang totally live and she sand many different spat tans and chands. Unfortunatly it wasn't recorded so this is just a basic version using samples of Nina instead and no Tabla or DJ Mixing.
