80s cartoons were amazing, and this was one of the best (not least because it was based on Homer's Odyssey, one of the greatest epic poems ever created by human hands). Ulysses had a lightsabre that was also a pistol, for goodness' sake. How is that not twenty kinds of awesome? :)

@alastairward iv seen them all 2 thanks to you tube even the last ep but there was a kids channle showed Ulysses 31 after 12:00 at night they showed all the old 80s cartoons till they changed hands to disney the channle was called jetix but now its called disney XD and they show baby/childen shows on it i was going to but the houl box set till i seen the price 100 pound

@DarkNeo12 there were some great French (at least, I think they were French) animated series in the 80s, "Belle and Sebastien" and "Once upon a time in..." spring to mind.

@garyrollinson1984 they served up all those shows to kids in the UK in the 80s endlessly. When I check the related videos, I'm surprised how many I've forgotten about.

This show was so ahead of its time even for kids but i think most 80's cartoons were in the sense that it treated kids with a more grown up maturity.Now stuff is too too kiddy and kids cant watch this and that.

I really hated the edited theme! I first saw this, with full intro in Switzerland, in 1981. I was but a mere tot,..........OKAY, I WAS 908!!!!!!
