Shari Ulrich came to Canada by way of the US West Coast - and has been part of Valdy, UHF, Pied Pumpkin, and Canadian consciousness ever since.
Her first solo hit was an achingly beautiful song called "She Remembers", about an aging woman who spends her days reminiscing about her life - a song to stop the car for and have a good listen.
She continues to perform, mostly in BC and the Prairies, but occasionally we in Toronto are lucky enough to host her at Hugh's Room. She still records and sells her cd's online off of her website.
This is a romantic song of commitment and promise, suitable for a first dance at a wedding. Originally recorded in the early '90's, I whipped up this extended version especially for the dancefloor.
Have a sip of wine, turn down the lights, grab that special someone and treat yourself to a slow dance!
(Don't trip over the coffee table!)
Enjoy.
Well, THAT was a total surprise and thoroughly entertaining. A first for me! Thanks Chris!!

It was my honour! If I'd had access to the original mix tapes when your CD was first released, there'd've been an offical 12" single on the racks at Sam's on Yonge Street! Other 12" ballads such as Vanessa Williams' "Dreamin" and Luba's "How Many (Rain Mix)" were inspiration. Well, that... and the fact that I was a kid who'd set the turntable to "replay" whenever a favourite 45 was spinning! I'm in good company - Neil Bogart did the same for Donna Summer's first big hit!
