But the SGI's response was far from religious.

SGI is planning to send members to the torch relay in Nagano to PROTECT the torch fire.

It does not surprise me that one group of people with self-inflated importance would attack another group of Buddhists with lies because they feel all other branches of Buddhism should cowtow to them. Sad, but not surprising.

No, we shouldn't turn our gohonzons away-thats not the spirit of Nichiren or Sensei. We should tackle this problem head on. Turn poison into medicine. This negativity comes from ignorance which leads to anger which is wat we as SGI need to battle to create world peace.
