he main intention of this youtube-account is to feature mixes and tracks somewhere between deep-minimal-dub techno/house and sounds from detroit/chicago.
well, it's sometimes hard to categorize and some tracks won't fit into that pattern at all. let's eclecticize a bit. anyway, it's music that i would like to share with others.

Violetta Villas had even slightly wider range. Polish singer during the communist era, her career in the West was cut short when she went back to Poland, the communist tried to make a spy out of her, she declined, and then her career was ruined. So, she was not as well known as Sumac.

oh my god. i've never heard this woman before. this is the one of the most breathtaking pieces of music i've ever heard in my life. WOW. i cannot believe that is her actual voice.

My parents were big fans of hers in the late 50s & 60s, I grew up listening to her incredible voice after we moved back to the US and could get her recordings.
No other known human has had such an incredible vocal range. Though perhaps some sopranos could reach higher notes, none had (or have) her sweetness and purity of tone. So many of today's sopranos are just sceechers...
