That sound is chunky son !! Nice

@ALIONBASS - be careful not to play too far behind the beat.. you're dragging a little.. That's the most common mistake when people play reggae..
But note for note perfect otherwise :) You're a great player man, really nice to hear..

You would love a pine-body bass. as in, a bass body made from pine wood. it gets the real lows and low-mids, which you seem to be enhancing deliberately.

@guglio1290 Pine wood? Is it being used for solid-body basses?

@ALIONBASS It's not a commonly used wood, but I've built three basses (two fretless, one fretted) and a double-neck (bass on top, guitar on bottom) from it, and it's sound is un-matched if you're going for a mellow, almost muted tone - perfect for Riddims and Reggae.

your bass playing sounds awesome. In all those videos actually. How did you get ths fat tone? Flatwounds right? How did you set your bass's pots (pickups and tone)? Cheers, man.

Thanks, I use old roundwounds, both pickups on and tone rolled off (+ eq boost in the lows).
