The Noctua NH-D14 SE2011 edition heatsink is aimed at users running the latest Intel Sandy Bridge-E systems. The Noctua NH-D14 SE2011 CPU cooler retains the same award winning design as the original NH-D14 but comes with a new SecuFirm2 mounting tailored for LGA2011 motherboards as well as having PWM versions of the NF-P12 and NF-P14 fans. These fans paired with the NH-D14 SE2011 heatsink are designed to push a lot of air while maintaining very low noise during operation. Just in case you want to further lower the sound output, you can attach the pair of low noise adapters Noctua has included in the accessory package. Those with a non-SE2011 version of the NH-D14 could still use the heatsink on their new Intel X79 system as Noctua provides a free SecuFirm2 LGA2011 mounting kit to those who are eligible and have their NH-D14 receipt on hand.

  • Why mine came with 3 pins? o.0

  • @mirkajunior28 This is the new SE2011 version with LGA2011 mounting for X79 motherboards as well as new 4-pin PWM fans.

  • hi is it possible to just move up the fans on this cooler so that a 8x4gb (corsair vengeance) can fit in? or is it not advisable to do that?

  • @Candy2Lolipop It will not fit even if you adjust the fan as the heatsink aluminum fins themselves hit the Corsair Vengeance heat spreaders. Noctua keeps a detailed and up-to-date memory module as well as motherboard compatibility list on their site, just visit noctua.at

  • Can you still install a videocard in the first PCI-e slot with NH-D14 installed?

  • @magister213 Yes, but you have to be very careful depending on your video card. Because the fan mounting clips are protruding a few millimeters, it could touch the back of some video cards with some extruded components if the PCI-E slot is too high (like in Quad-SLI motherboards like this one). I used the Matrix GTX 580 Platinum which has a backplate so there also was no issue with the fan clip making contact with the back of the video card.

  • how can you fit your damn ramn with that in there?

  • Hi, with this P9X79WS, it looks like I can only install 4 rams correct? since the configuration is to install it on the blue dimm first, I guess it's fine sill with the NH-D14 installed? And I guess 4x G.Skill ripjaw ddr3 would still fit in this configuration? I couldn't till the clearance of the heatsink and ram since you didn't take it from the side view.

    Thanks

  • motherboard is p8z68 pro/gen3 btw

  • @HiTechLegion Btw, my gtx 570 fits in the first pci-e slot fine (the protruding attachmentes from the fan do not hit) but it seems quite close 2-3 cm from the heatsinks. Will this cause too much heat or is this ok?

  • @HiTechLegion it fits up to 3 corsair vengeance, I just installed them. But you need to bump the fan up so that the first metal bar is 7 spaces from the top (fan will rise 1-2 cm). Unfortunately I was not wise enough to check compatibility. But it works.

  • @pepetapia2006 Yes, you can order a free LGA2011 upgrade kit at the Noctua website.

  • I have the NH-D14 but it's not the SE2011 edition. My question is can I use my version with an LGA 2011 cpu? Thank you

  • @HiTechLegion Ok thanks for information :)

  • which processor r u using and which is the best cpu cooler for intel i7 2600k and ASRock Z68 extreme 7 Gen3 motherboard LGA 1155 and i `m going for corsair vengeance ram only for gaming purpose( for other itzy bitzy works too ) case Corsair 600t white
