I taught my children and grand kids to respect police officers, but I've made a huge mistake. I sent a copy of this video to them and told them that police are, in fact, not worthy of respect. This type of police brutality has increased greatly each year.

As a former police officer who has litigated civil rights cases for the better part of the past decade, it is discouraging to see that unlawful policies, practices, and training, continue to be a systemic problem in policing. However, it is promising to see that the problem is being addressed by not only civil rights lawyers, like myself, but by investigative reporters.
