MO FARAH will chase victory at this years Bupa London 10,000, May 25 2009, but the European indoor champion will face a brace of competitors who are much more accustomed to the distance of 10km.
NEWHAM & ESSEX BEAGLES athlete Mo Farah has been named as captain of the Great Britain Cross country team that will compete in Brussels on December 14 2008.
The 2006 men's champion has just returned from a six-week training camp from Ethiopia and cannot wait to make the trip.
'abidimilitia16' man u need to think outside of the box, and support fellow muslim brothers everywhere, ur attitude stinks. and yes i am a muslim. MO keep up the good work bro!
Mo is Mohamed for short and there is nothing wrong with that. Britain's lack of depth in middle and long distance appalled many and Mo didnt do well in Beijing as he was the only athlete in the long distance. He was very disappointed and ran a very poor race but BBC pundit and 1976 Olympic bronze medalist at 10,000m Brendan Foster made a scathing attack on UK Athletics and said "they must take examples from other sports such as sailing, rowing, and cycling".
In 2012, London will host the iconic games. UK Athletics has only four years to make Britain proud again.
We've got nobody in the men's 10,000m, we are relying on Dan Robinson in the marathon, Andy Baddeley was ninth in the 1500m, we haven't got anyone in the steeplechase.
Well done mo, you are the best bro
