Someone sent me this file with no info or sound. I added some music but left the original video as is. I don't know the original source or the venue. I can say by looking at the set up it is the 08-09 tour.
It is a real cool time lapse of the set up and tear down of the TSO stage and lights. Pretty cool. Enjoy

  • I wonder if this was taken at the arena they used to practice this years set-up....cause it looks like a really small venue to me. I'm judging by the size of the places I've seen them at on the east coast. Still.....have to give them tons of credit for doing what they do.

  • It don't look that way, if you notice the "haze" in the arena while they are tearing down (Pyro) and there are arena workers sweeping the aisles from about the 5:50 mark on

  • Sorry, the 4:50 mark

    Opps

  • Honda center crew sets the record every year baby!!

  • the big rigs over the stage are what i call "matrioshka " rigs

  • the arena floor is pretty small

  • that was for the 2008 2009 tour...the setup for that tour was pretty good but 2009's setup was way cooler

  • the background music is tracers played live in albany in 2007...all the little extras they sometimes put in were the same

  • Incredible!! Big hand to those road crews - and they're one of the few bands I've seen myself who make sure to thank the crew onstage. The '08 tour was the first I saw, and those three triple square rigs over the stage shown in the vid were the most amazing rigs I'd ever seen live... and they get better every year. No telling how they'll top last year's suspended catwalks, but I have faith that they'll drop my jaw on the floor yet again!

  • the easy part here is unloading the trucks

the hard part loading up the truck the exact same way for balance driving down the road

  • This is so awesome. Essentially flying a city block 110ft, only more expensive.

  • @minkusb The organization of this crew is nothing short of miraculous. Caught the current show in Austin,Tx Dec.3rd. Show was done just short of 11PM. . .they were in San Antonio (75 miles) ready to go for a 3PM matinee, then an 8PM evening show. Being an engineer by trade, I always go their shows early just to gawk at all the gear and lights, trying to guess just what does "that" do. . .I'm wrong about half the time. If I was younger, I would run away and join THIS ! ! 1

  • @cpellicore i was talking with the new FOH tech today and this years show is supposed to be 25 trucks with 100 plus touring crew, plus 100 local crew at almost every show...i've worked with him the past few years, really amazing at his job.
