I HAVE THE TEDDY BEARS VERSION OF THIS ALBUM I GOT IN THE LATE 70'S (ON AN ALBUM CALLED "TWENTY ONE HIT WONDERS" AS WELL AS OTHERS LIKE "RHYTHM OF THE RAIN AND BIB BAD JOHN BY JIMMY DEAN) SEEING THAT EARLY PHOTO OF PHIL SPECTOR.. WHO'D THOUGHT HE'D END UP IN PRISON FOR MURDER.

BEATLES AT THEIR BEST !!!

It's quite something to think that here is John relatively known outside Liverpool, singing a Phil Spector song, who a decade or so later would go on to produce John's solo stuff.
John must have thought "Geez it's Phil Spector, I loved his stuff" and Phil must have thought "It's John Lennon from The Beatles"
And somewhere in the studio there would have been some 16yr old making tea, just completely oblivious to it all.

@iplaymusic369 "its from 1958-1959" I believe it's from the Decca audition, January 1, 1962. I like this version better than the BBC version from a year or two later.
