Cherry Blossom Tour 2011 (Osaka Castle, Expo '70 Park, Satsukiyama)

The cherry trees are in full bloom and I thought it was a nice opportunity to travel around the city checking out some of the famous spots for cherry blossom viewing! I went to Osaka Castle which I refrained from going for a long time because people tell me it's no big deal. But I am glad I went because it is actually really big. Personally, I'm more interested in the castle walls than the main keep itself xD. Next I went to the Expo '70 Commemorative Park by monorail and I saw the Sun Tower which was also really big. A lot bigger than what I thought. The park was filled with trees and flowers, it was quite relaxing. The expo pavilion didn't have much so it's not a MUST see place. After that, I went to Satsukiyama by bicycle because it was within walking distance from my house! I was surprised how beautiful the place was and how many people were there! Unfortunately I was too tired to keep climbing up that mountain so all I did was go to the zoo. The zoo is free entry but doesn't have much. The only animals they have which you wouldn't normally see are wallabies, wombats, and maybe emus xD. And finally I went to Ikeda Castle which is also on that mountain. It was small but cute. Overall it was a very nice day, though tiring. The sakura in the background really do make everything seem prettier and the pictures turn out nicer =)
