Mrs. McGuire is excited for Lizzie too until she finds out it's on the same day as grandma's 80th birthday party. She tells Lizzie she has to go to her grandma's instead and Lizzie is furious.

arghh i love how realistic lizze mcguire was! she wasn't a secret rockstar, a wizard, a tv dancer, or some mega genious or anything - just your average typical girl. she had a normal family and her parents were a part of her life unlike how now parents are barely shown on tv. most of the stuff that happened to her i could relate to because it happened to me.

and now i'm old...well i'm like 20 but still. i miss the old disney :/

Really like the fact that the girls didn't have to wear hair extensions or weave to make their hair look longer back then. Miley/Hannah Montana, the 2 girls on shake it up, china anne mcclain, and the girl from lab rats wear/wore hair extensions, b/c "long hair is better"

Can you imagine a disney show saying "strip poker" in one of their shows nowadays? It's SO sheltered. I miss this version of Disney that was innocent but not sanitized innocent.
