Educational Objectives:

Students, working in collaborative groups, will select OR create a product to be presented through their Let's Shoot Some Commercials videotaped projects.

Students, working in collaborative groups, will construct a Script Draft Sheet, a Script Sheet, and a Storyboard Sheet prior to filming their Let's Shoot Some Commercials videotaped projects. These compositions will make use of the writing techniques that advertisers typically use to bring their products or messages to audiences' attentions.

Students will dramatize actions and vocalize lines of dialogue coherent with their product while engaged in front of the camera.

Students will appraise their videotaped creations and select the best takes and scenes to be inserted in the final product.

Students will identify the writing techniques that advertisers typically use to bring their products or messages to audiences' attentions.

Students will classify videotaped commercials under one or several of the commercial writing techniques that advertisers typically use to bring their products or messages to audiences' attentions.
