The U.S. State Department's English Access Microscholarship Program empowers non-elite 14 to 18 year-olds in predominantly Muslim communities around the world to study English. Since its inception, U.S. embassies have selected English teaching schools in 44 countries to enroll approximately 20,000 students in the English Access Microscholarship Program. In addition to English, the Program provides an American-style classroom experience using U.S. materials and emphasizing active learning.
The 2008 summer camp in Ufa, Bashkortostan, Russian Federation was held at Gymnasium No. 20 for 3 weeks from 23rd June.
