continued: when willie was 3 years old he asked his mother for a tinwhistle and played it all day at school and all day. his father Gilbert and mother were very good players. if a tune came into his mind during the night he often got up to 'play the tune out of him' so as the priests lived on the hill behind them and they at the bottom of the hill they nearly always played with the light off so the priest wouldnt think that the 'clancys kept a bad house'
