You know i was watching the Fantastic 4, "Rise of the Silver Surfer" the other day and could not help notice similarities in one particular scene where the surfer falls off of his board in the lush green forest and the board makes an about face with the back drop of the forest and shrubry which looked very similar to the photographs of the black oblisck taken by Dr Reed with the surfers darkened body lying on the ground next to it lifeless much like the alien.

Yes it is very common for hollywood directors to mimick actual events that have been recorded in time concerning extraordinary events in history. You would have to talk directly with those directors to verifies why certain scenes in their movies may emulate actual documented events such as the Jonathan Reed Alien Encounter.
