Here's a classic: my all time favorite for that matter. I listen to it every holiday season.
MERRY CHRISTMAS TO ALL!!!

He was immensely talented. Great actor and musician. The only contemporary today might be Steve Martin, who is not only a talented actor, but an excellent musician as well.

Not only was this man one of the greatest folk singers in history, but he was brilliant in Cat on a Hot Tin Roof. Burl Ives was a true national treasure of the United States.

I always say it's not officially Christmas until Burl Ives sings Holly Jolly Christmas on the radio! Just heard it the other day! YAY!! =D

Thank you for this. I heard he was Jewish, too. I believe he lived in Queens, NY for a time, and I knew some of his neighbors! Said he was lovely! Thought the world of him as a neighbor. Thanks for this. Greetings from France, via Ohio and NYC! And a couple of Jewish marriages! xo
