@thesimon82 I think that is debatable depending on the voice and probably song. Some times I like it and some times it seems to rob some of the fuller performance of not using focus. Nice to have that option though. I see you got the same shock mount I have not the older one that a lot of people complained about.

Obviously ! We can obtain a better voice using an AKG 414 otherwise of a Neumann U87, each voice has its own mic ! The most important thing should be your ear, it's the best thing we have for judge. It doesn't matter if you spend $3000 or $300, sometimes the $300 staffs can do its work better than the $3000 on such voices.

@thesimon82 I was referring to the Mics focus button only, of course a better MIC can help but this MIC should be able to do a great job and even be used for professional recording I agree. Price is not always the important factor as some people may think.
