Why is it that i am more excited to the 2016 Rio Olympics over London 2012??? Maybe because I came from a developing country like Brazil. Olympics held in a Rich Country is Boring.

Funnily enough, from the day they won the bid, no-one in the UK has mentioned "topping the Chinese". In fact, pert of the bid's appeal was that it promised to deliver on the areas where Beijing failed; environmental issues, genuine legacy, regeneration and an affordable games. The Beijing games were the last of a kind. London will better it in some areas.

I think we top the Chinese purely because we allow people to protest, we allow freedom of expression (although there are some limitations), and if a singing girl isnt cute enough... were not gonna replace her with someone who is. Just on moral grounds.... we kick Chinas ass any day!
