I had dreams of meeting her one day and was devastated to hear when she passed I came up listening to her on my dads records and at almost 30 it still feels like the first time my dad placed the needle delicately down and out came a voice so hauntingly beautiful even at my young age gave me the chills aw the memories.....RIP Ms. Hyman know your music is still appreciated..

ONCE AND FOR ALL, I FEEL THE NEED TO EXPRESS MY FEELINGS ABOUT THE LEGEND, THAT WAS PHYLLIS HYMAN.I MET PHYLLIS IN NEW YORK CITY ABOUT 1979 OR 1980. WE HAD A VERY DEEP CONVERSATION ABOUT LIFES MYSTERYS, AND UPS AND DOWNS. SHE WAS AS BRILLANT, AS SHE WAS BEAUTIFUL.SHE REMEMBERED OUR TALK SOME TIME LATER,AND ALWAYS SEEMED TO SEEK FURTHUR UNDERSTANDINGS.I LAST SAW HER A FEW MONTHS BEFORE HER PASSING. NO ONE CAN SAY WHY, BUT I PRAY SHE HAS FOUND THE TRUTH SHE SOUGHT. I MISS YOU PRETTY LADY.REST WELL

@TrudyBuck I agree. After reading her book it didn't seem that she had anyone to go to for that lift and to enforce that GOD would carry her when she was weak.
