I'm 42. I cant remember how old I was, then..probably about 10 or 11...Harry played a show and it was just him, no back up band or anything. Small theater, cant remember where. We were sitting way in the upper deck and he requested people from the audience to help sing mr tanner. I ran down but didnt make it in time. He then stopped singing and asked if someone was scrambling down from the cheap seats, the usher pushed me to go. I got to stand right next to him and sing. I will never forget it.

Thanks for uploading. I love this song and the album is a classic. I saw Harry in concert only a few weeks before his untimely death. It was shocking. I'll always have fond memories of this great writer and performer.

Unbegoodgollylievable! This just may be my all time fave from Harry C., in fact the entire l.p. was on the lifesaver list! Harry and the boys pulled me through more than a couple of close calls, since then I honestly have not listened to this until today, pleasantly surprised and equallly grateful, you bet! So, as always thanks to the person responsible for the upload, namely bearznorthCATHY, thanks to you folks at youtube for the space, RIP Harry, and:ROCK ON SHINDIGGERS!

Saw him 16 times live. Awesome. Okemo Mt, Cape Cod, Beantown, NYC....... This was a very special human being. He squeezed 30 hours into every day. If energy and drive could be measured in pounds Harry Chapin had a metric ton on the nearest possible challenger.
