TOM SAWYER by Rush played by Dave Hart on Bass Guitar, Keyboards and Foot Pedals. Some of my playing here is a bit rough. This was the first time playing the song with all of the instruments, so I was rushing to record and upload it. The room mic is panned to the right and my playing is panned to the left. If anyone wants to see unedited camera angles for learning just let me know! Also, everything is tuned down a half step. I hope you enjoy! I know every Rush song ever written, so I'll post more later! Any requests?

  • This is amazing! How much did all that cost? Are the keys and synths the same ones Geddy uses? Also, if I could give some advice, I think you just need to work on the timing of the bass a bit more, but nevertheless very, very talented musician!

  • @jerrythepotato1919 The Pedal Board was around $ 600, the Korg was $ 1,100, the Casio was $ 500, the bass was $ 500 and the Rocktron was pretty cheap. Same Bass and Pedal Board as Ged. Thanks for the advice. I've been playing for 25 years professionally, this was just the first time ever combining or shall I say Choreographing all of these elements together at the same time so actually, not only was the bass timing bad, it was all pretty sloppy. After I mastered it all I should have re-filmed.

  • The Roland Pedal Board was around $ 600, the Korg Keyboard was $ 1,100, the Casio was $ 500, the Geddy Lee bass was $ 500 and the other stuff such as the Rocktron pedal was pretty cheap.

  • @Javic2112 Thanks Javic2112, that bass pedal is the Roland PK-5a, exactly what Geddy and Alex use on the current tour.

  • just like geddy!

  • @calumlane Thanks for the compliment! I am on a different account. I wasn;t sure how it would ounds panning the bass and keys to one side and having Rush playing in the other side. Still not too sure I like it, but it was fun to do. Ged is a pioneer of combining bass and keys and even with the newer melodic songs he does it very well!

  • How much did that cost?

  • Great work ! Nice gears ! What is the brand of that bass pedal???
