Rob Harmon's Survivor 18 19 20 Audition

Welcome to my 4th audition. This video has been in my head since I was 14, and it took an extraordinary amount of dedication and hard work, with some help along the way. It all took about a year to complete, with constantly taking every bit of free time (including before work, during lunch break, after work: through hard snow, rain, and heat) while still working all the time and spending a lot of time with my family. I hope everyone enjoys it. My only regrets are having only 3 minutes to squeeze it in to, and not having enough time to paint the 6 awesome designs I made on the drop flags (plus the film quality online is not very good. I'm not too good with computers, but I'll try to find a way to get a better version online). This was my last big horrah, of course I will be applying every time, but there will be no more epic videos. Hopefully it catches some attention. I would love to hear what anyone has to say (good or bad), and I'd be glad to answer any questions.

Yo, I just applied too, I think you're not allowed to add music or to show other people... That's probably why you haven't been accepted, it's the only reason you wouldn't be! You are great, and you seem to REALLY want it, so I'd hate to see you not get considered because of those rules.

@NintendoWarrior1 Hey! Thanks for the compliments. The way you applied was the new way they do it now, where you have to make a short video of just you with no music or anything like that. This video was made back when they used to take applications the real way, and you could send in a 3 minute video with whatever you wanted. But I don't think they even do it that way anymore.

Very likable character. Amazed at the homemade obstacle course....but I'm sure 80% of the people who apply use Survivor music or spoofs so it doesn't stand out. Good luck to you and keep trying. I made the semi-finals for a previous Survivor and it was just me talking into a camera for about 5 minutes (yes 5 minutes not 3)

Thanks, nice to hear you think I'm a likeable character. Beleive me, I'm aware of how everyone probably uses Survivor music in their videos. I'm no dummy, haha. But I mixed it all together and knew I could back it up with everything else in the video more than anyone else out there, so thats why I used it. And it was meant to be creative and look like a full season & audition at the same time. And don't you worry, it stands out just fine.

And I do know about the fact that just talking can be very effective if done well, and that it can be more than 3 minutes if done well. I do very much appreciate the compliments and critcism though. I'm always open to any advice (good or bad) I can get. Thanks again. -Rob

Super cool, man! I like the part where fire shoots up the rope. If they don't make you a contestant on the show they should make you one of the producers. :)

I can't believe you didn't even get a first round audition with this tape. I apply Every year since season 2 and if you can't make it I might just give up forever.

I have the intention of auditioning for survivor when i turn 18 which will be next year. I think that would be like... season 22 or 23. lol if they go that far
