A room of a traditional/classical Turkish village house from Devrekani Kastamonu Turkey. Kastamonu village houses are traditionally made of wood. Here, we are viewing a room. Floors and ceilings, windows, fireplace, hidden closets (top one for storing linens and blankets, bottom one for storing wood, left one, just next to the fireplace is a hidden 3ft-by-3ft shower). Sedir, the low, wall-to-wall sofa occupies at least one of the walls. These are characteristics of classical Turkish village house, which were designed very practically, mostly seen around Black Sea, Northern Aegean, Central-Northern and Northwestern Anatolian and around Marmara Sea regions.
