America is the richest country in the world. Yet, the number of hopeless, sick and homeless men, women and children is growing at an alarming rate. Everyday we walk by them with their hand-scribbled signs and hungry arms outstretched asking for spare change, as we make our silent judgments about these FORGOTTEN SOULS.

Yes there are many organizations that clean you up and get you a minimum wage nine to five, however there is no current program that gives these people the ability to increase this minimum earning position. With the inability to move up, its at this point that a sense of utter and complete hopelessness and severe depression sets in. There is no middle ground between hope and despair. One immediately fills the void in the absence of the other.

Truth be told, the average panhandler begging on the streets makes at least triple of what a minimum-wage job pays...after working a DOUBLE.

America has failed to implement the two most important things that must happen to eradicate the problem of homelessness and the dis-enfranchised in America.
