Smile [Garden State]

This movie is probably in my top ten favorites. Most of you probably haven't seen it, and I fully believe you should change that.

I made this video for catou121's Deja Vu Contest. The idea was to take one of your very first videos and recreate it to show how your editing has improved since you first began. I had a lot of videos to choose from, but I noticed many of my first videos had inappropriate song choices. The original version of this was the only one that made any sense to me. I also wanted to see how I'd approach the song with a different editing software (though I truly believe the editing program does NOT make the vidder).

Redoing this video made me think a lot about how my style has evolved over the past two years. There was a time when I thought I needed to be flashy in order to create something good (there is some evidence of that period on here still). But I quickly realized that wasn't the style that fit me. I actually think I'm pretty close to where I was two years ago (style wise). My pacing is just better (among other things... I hope). ;D
