Nito, the first of the dead. I was so glad this boss wasn't as hard as, say, the Four Kings, because getting there was a pain. After Pinwheel's encounter, all you could see was.. well nothing. The Tomb of the Giants is a cave with narrow ledges everywhere and giant skeletons kicking you off them. For some reason, I did not end up meeting Patches, the Hyena, the dickass thief from Demon's Souls. Good thing I didn't since I heard he would've kicked me down a pit. Somehow I made it through the darkness and found myself at Papa Nito's.

Upon entering Nito's chamber, I was treated to some nice unavoidable fall damage, a blade in my bottom and a gang of skellies. There's probably more of those than any other kinds of regular enemies in this game. The fun thing is they can parry and riposte you as well as get up again and again unless you beat them down permanently using a Divine weapon. The key to winning here is to take down the first skeletons and not going to the back where Nito comes from as there are giant skelly-wellies there waiting to stomp you. Nito's sword swings can miss you entirely if you go in his face. He's not nearly as durable as many bosses before him and he certainly takes his time doing what he does.

Surprisingly I didn't find any summon signs at the nearest bonfire or right before the entrance to the boss, nor did I get summoned myself for this. I felt a bit underwhelmed by this battle as Nito had been introduced in the first cutscene of the game as a Lord who fought the dragons.

Note that defeating Nito will break the Gravelord Servant covenant until another NG cycle. Not that it matters at the time of uploading this video, since the covenant's perks don't work properly anyways.

  • if you bring a divine weapon and kill those skeletons you drop on real fast this boss fight becomes a lot easier.

  • @brainwasher9876 That is true. I used the Divine Halberd to take out the regular skeletons before engaging Nito at 2:45.

  • dude ae you kidding four kings was easy like shit nito is way harder

i havent gotten to him yet but with four kings there was a glitch with me

like i killed one and the second came i killed the second and it stayed killed third and it stayed and i turn around and all 4are ganging up on me and i still won

  • Seriosly? Havel's armor AND Iron Flash? Disliked...

  • So if any of you have played this on +1 or. +2 you know that this guy is the hardest boss in the game if you arent using holy weapons to kill skelys my guy has an uchigatana +15 and magic crystal weapon which does a total of 850 damage with my 90 dex and I still have problems with this guy

  • If you do this in NG ,you will not last 20 second , iron flesh is good but it cannot prevent blood loss ,boss nito can be kill easily with fire and great magic shield ..iron flesh slow down your movement ,the best divine weapon are ascend from great club ,next time try not to go around the other end where gaint seletons are ,let boss nito come to you :) . All the best

  • wow sucks to be me I hate dead ppl and I gotta kill that thing PS Nice video
