The french bands "cold wave" or "batcave" were OPERA DE NUIT ("Invitation"), TAXI GIRL ("Chercher le garçon", "La femme écarlate"), MARQUIS DE SADE ("Conrad Veidt") and after, MARC SEBERG, GOÛTS DE LUXE ("Les yeux de Laura", "Omaha beach", "Dans un autre pays"), and my favorite, JAD WIO, for the first and the second LP, "Cellar dreams" (1986) and "Contact" (after, in the 90's, they doing pop music).

"cold wave" is a term specific, used in France only. All around the world, it's "gothic music of the 80's", or "batcave"... Maybe "80's dark-synth"... OPERA DE NUIT, really, is french cold wave... For the frenchies, are "cold wave" the CURE (period "A forest"), SIOUXIE and the BANSHEES, BAUHAUS, KILLING JOKE ("Love like blood")... And, for any people, SISTERS OF MERCY, maybe...

This must be the best Coldwav,e Frenvh COldwavei s best. Coldwave is like, its aocusitc verdion/rock version of Skinny Puppy's early DARKsynth and/or Goth Elektro !
