Im not undermining Gandhi, but saying we would not have gained independence without him is bullshit...And abt Gandhism, if we followed it, India would still be a third world country!! A lot of prominent leaders at the time-Ambedkar, Nehru , etc opposed Gandhi for his anti-industrialization stand.... The freedom movement was more than gandhi....

@vic86m Dude get over it!!! The British screwed us over coz we didn have the balls to face up to them!! It was the colonial period, and Europeans were conquering the world. If we were so great, why couldn we stop them???A much poorer country like Afghanistan had the balls to stand up to every power, and to this day remains the only country to have not been invaded!! So stop praising our fore fathers, India wasnt exactly flourishing when the British came.
