Man took me a bit to find any info on this, wish you'd include more like this in the info section. "The Pig-nosed Turtle (Carettochelys insculpta), also known as the Hog-nosed Turtle, Pitted-shelled Turtle, Plateless Turtle or Fly River Turtle, is a species of turtle native to freshwater streams, lagoons and rivers of the Northern Territory of Australia and the Trans Fly savanna and grasslands of southern New Guinea[2]. fly creek pig-nosed turtle is the name I most commonly see tagged to this species.

well i was at a phx reptile show about 4 and half years ago. while i was looking back at my old photos on my pc i saw a picture of a turtle that looked exactly like this one. the description on the tank said fly turtle on it. so that's why i asked.

they have a bunch of names,flat river turtles,hognose turtle,pignose turtle,havent heard of fly river though.
