Just because there are more cases of a women being abused then a man, doens't make it any different. Abuse is abuse, no matter what.

@FecundHippo - The concern I have is that such activity, forgiving people for laughing at castration, and essentially excusing inequality between genders, does more to HURT gender equality world wide. Patriarchal societies may look at our secular nation, laughing at male castration and the sort, and think "why would we want to change our ways?" Show them our social choices are BETTER and MORE BENEFICIAL and not just the same thing in the opposite direction.

You also say relmneiko posted this video because men shouldn't downplay sexism against women... but she spends her entire video essentially giving pass to women laughing at castration because they've had to deal with oppression before. And I would like to know where your statistic is that "the majority of men do [discriminate against women]".

@lordofduct To add, laughing about castration is horrible and it is incredibly unacceptable. TheAmazingAtheist, however, not only tries to downplay sexism towards women, he tries to make feminism seem unjustified and unnecessary despite there being far worse things happening to women all over the world. With the majority patriarchal societies, women are oppressed in so many different ways. The majority of feminist/ women do not discriminate against men, but the majority of men do.
