When I turned 12 (Well, 11 or 12 somewhere around there anyway.) I realized I had been so excited about my birthday that I guess I thought something big would happen, that I would feel older and more mature. Well, I woke up and realized I still felt exactly the same. Then I thought about how we wish our lifes away and don't fully enjoy the age we are when all we want is to be older. I decided right then and there I would never wish my life away. I am 28 year old now and I am glad I learned that!

I think 18th birthdays mean more in countries where it's the legal drinking age :)
