i don't understand why they have a track of her playing in the background -- it makes you realize how off key she is lol .. like was her mic supposed to be on mute or did they just add it in afterwards ? :S

either way it sounds sort of cool! like a duet between her sober & addict selves lmao. the audience is like wtf when is bowie coming back on stage haha

Marianne Faithfull is to be admired. She was a gorgeous woman. Her voice too, was beyond compare. As a person of her same approximate age, time does take it's toll.  To remember is grand. But if I had only known her then. . .!

this was the event at which David Bowie tried to get her back into working - he invited her onto the show - at around the same time she did start acting in a lot of London plays - I saw her in one, 'Mad Dog' at Hampstead Theatre, with Denholm Elliot. David Bowie was in the audience there, too, so he had obviously taken her under his wing. But she still had a l-o-n-g way to go before she got clean and sober, and it shows. But she was always, and is now, very very very beautiful.
