The pianist looks like he is having sooooo much fun here. I just love it. For me, his huge stage presence just adds to the sort of sarcasm and drunkenness in this piece. I could watch this again and again, all day just for that bit at the end (5:00) where he looks at the orchestra in horror as the piece reaches it's ironic ending.

That's fine. Something about that second movement that always got to me. Would loved to have drank some beer with old Saint-Saens, so starry and warty and so very long gone. Probably one of those guys that liked to smash furniture while drunk.

Dear PawelWysucki-
If he doesn't like a piece, it is unlikely he will ever perform it!! Your negativity gives you away as a small minded person- see beyond yourself! This is what he does...
HOWEVER He more than likely is able to transcend any like or dislike for a piece if he is commissioned to perform it, and will imbue it with all the passion and technique required to bring it to an audience.

@ilnvita obviously you do not understand music, this is irregular rhythmical music and it is not easy to play and create. In fact, Macedonian folk is full of irregular rhythms. This particular is based on Macedonian folk.

I just got to see Trpceski perform this in Seattle. What a charismatic and talented performer!
