@satex1958 So you never herd about Muddy Waters, B.B. King, Chuck Berry, Buddy Guy, Eric Clapton, Robert Johnson, T-Bone Walker, Albert King, Rory Gallagher, John Lee Hooker, Peter Green, Johnny Winter, Duane Allman, Freddie King, Elmore James, Son House, Hubert Sumlin, Charley Patton, Junior Kimbrough and the legendary Jimi Hendrix?

@W3LazyShadow Not the greatest band ever but Gibbons is absolutely one of the greatest blues pickers ever. I always judge bands of this 'age' on their early work and Gibbons stands up to the best of the best. Incredible guitar player. Like SRV and Double Trouble, the music they put out with a trio....you gotta have a stong front man to do that. Not a handful of bands in RR HISTORY that can do that. But Gibbons and SRV could carry a heavy load. Forces.

Been to MANY ZZ Top shows over the years. One of the best rock acts to ever grace a stage, pure showmanship and incredible talent. One show that will stick out in my mind forever was in Lebanon, NY Speedway, they played for HOURS and drank beer out of the truck of a classic hot rod parked on the stage while they bantered with the audience. A CLASSIC!

I was there in Dallas at this Crossroads. Very big thunderstorm was blowing in and they had removed all the background material. ZZ was the last band to play. First time I had ever seen them live and realized that what you hear on the CDs is done with a lot of overdubbing. I always thought, "How can they do that with 3 piece?"

@RequiemRock1 si, el bajo sigue sonando, porque su mano izquierda sigue sobre el brazo de la guitarra, majando las cuerdas con sus dedos, sin embargo lo que se escucha son notas largas

@W3LazyShadow I agree that they are not the single best, but you have to admit how great they are. I said one of the greatest, not the best.
So this is what Santa does in his spare time...

@bradfordlad9999 Take care of your illiteracy first, then criticize one of the greatest blues-rock bands ever.
