I imagine there are a lot of people like yourself who do the same thing with pharmaceuticals, except they think pharms are safer bc they come from their doctor.

BTW, I don't believe in a void of reason for someone using any substance to alter their state of being. The physical side is just one, but there are also the psychological and spritiual/existential aspects.

been there done that didnt work, alcohol prohibition is part of the reason pot is illegal, in part pot was made illegal to give jobs to the people that previously enforced the prohibition of alcohol. after the alcohol prohibition law was repealed
