God does as he pleases, don't you understand? I'm tired of the "Evil" God argument, this is just a red herring for not accepting God's dictates and continue their sinful lives just as Pat says - in a cynical way - at the end. In any case, death is bad for humans but not bad from God's perspective specially when pagan babies in the Old Testament are saved from eternal damnation.

Why someone who calls for killing of babies can't be god? He himself is the creator of the baby.Here you're dictating god about how he should behave,and denying the fact that god is the one who "dictates",that he's beyond any kind of reproach for whatever he does.
If god were acting as per your definition of "good boy",would have you submitted to him then? Was it enough proof of his divinity?
