@Antithropocentric The "spewed" unburned fuel is from a lack of needed oxygen. This is common when bigger injectors or aftermarket computing is added, and other sources. As soon as the turbo is spooled to meet the correct a/f mixture, it stops. As for it being bad on the internals, fill me in. Too much fuel is better lubrication. It And what does American Wire Gauge have to do with anything? And some of the best tuned turbo diesel "spew" like a sieve.

@ThePowerstroker1, rural anti-EPA types take it for granted that they have relatively clean air. But it's only because of lower population density (fewer vehicles per square mile).

I'd suggest walking the walk and taking your "freedom" ideology to a highly polluted city like Beijing where you can reap the full "benefits" of poorly enforced or non-existent pollution regulations. But I know a lot of you smoke cigarettes and wouldn't care anyhow. That's just how it goes with the unintelligencia.

@dirtastegood, it's not "normal" to spew unburned fuel. It's not good for the internals, and makes you look like an idiot with a badly tuned engine. It looks like a number of diesel owners understand the science behind their engines about as well as they understand the evidence for AGW.
