Good story! I was surprised to hear the interpretor admitted her mistake. You adopt the personality of many different people, and I can understand it feeling weird to say something you yourself would not feel comfortable saying. You know you and I are responsible for everything we say, so when you are speaking for someone else you get this feeling that though you are only translating, its coming out of your mouth and you are responsible for it.

Thank you so much for posting this. It is a positive story about an interpreter -- maybe did not start out that way, but ended well. I am an interpreter, and I guess I enjoy punishment because I watch these vlogs about what we do wrong all the time. I do it so I can see an uncensored view from Deaf about how I can improve, but sometimes it hurts to see the love/hate relationship that exists. So thanks for giving credit to that interpreter for her personal and professional growth!
