incase anyones interested, the toxin the cowfish produces is an ictheocryno toxin called chorline cloride, its a vitamin in the B complex and it breaks down fish cells :)

Hi All
Advice please i am just about to buy a stunning Cowfish, BUT i am also sick of hearing the bad storys regarding killing all your stock if stressed to much ?
Is this true and how likely is this to happen ?
My set up is over a year old now and stocked with nice soft corals and some stunning fish, i would hate to loase any..
Thanks
Sean

@natenate88 no, they need about 120 gallons, are very territorial, and when stress produce a deadly toxin, def not for biginners

this fish has a poison(do not touch it)but it is so cute

I think cowfishes should be called mini-subs. They are my new fascination... They don't swim in water... They maneuver.. like a submarine. I wonder.. Who is the captain in control ;) heheh
Would this do good in a 14 gallon for a salt water beginner?
