The reason some VK bands seem to have a similar style is because they influence each other. For example Kyo and Hakuei were Kiyoharu roadies and Kamijo was a Mana roadie, etc. Kuroyume is probably one of the most original visual kei bands musically aside from their influences from Western artists.
