Born in London Oct. 18, 1891. Equally at home at forward or defence. Began career with London Athletics juniors 1908-09. London Wingers intermediates 1909-10. Turned pro with Waterloo Colts of Canadian Pro League 1910-11. Joined Quebec Bulldogs of the National Hockey Assoc., forerunner of NHL, helping Quebec to a Stanley Cup in 1911-12. Won a second Stanley Cup with Montreal Canadiens in 1915-16 after playing with Victoria, Quebec and Montreal Wanderers. Also played for Toronto 22nd Battalion of the NHL. Two years Canadian Army with duty in Europe. Joined NHL Toronto St. Pats 1919-20. Closed NHL career in 1925 with four years Hamilton Tigers. Player-coach London Panthers 1926-27 Can-Am champions. Manager old London Arena. Died Oct. 25, 1935.
George "Goldie" Prodger is my Great Grandfather. My mother, brothers and I are thrilled that Goldie was inducted into the London Sports Hall of Fame.
